Meet Thea Rose
Thea Rose is a multi-exit founder, the founder and CEO of Testie Health, and the host of top-ranked Seggs Talk Radio. Across companies, media, and her own public story, her work has centered on making the parts of life people are taught to hide feel less shameful and more human.
Today, she is building at the intersection of sexual health, culture, and consumer trust, using both business and storytelling to change how people talk about sex, care, and stigma.
Talking about sex out loud
After my own sexual awakening, I became fascinated by how much shame and secrecy still surround sex, even though it is such a normal part of being human. I started Seggs Talk Radio to have the kinds of conversations people were already having privately about sex, kink, relationships, pleasure, and intimacy.
Through Seggs Talk Radio and the community around it, I kept hearing the same thing: people wanted to take care of their sexual health, but the experience of getting tested could still feel awkward, judgmental, confusing, or unnecessarily difficult.
What sex work taught me
While building Testie, I spent two years working as a high-end companion. It gave me an even more intimate view into how people experience sex, loneliness, intimacy, shame, desire, and connection.
That experience reinforced something I already believed: people deserve sexual healthcare that meets them where they actually are, without assumptions about what their relationships or sex lives are supposed to look like.
I eventually shared that part of my story publicly in The Cut, because I believe reducing shame also means being willing to talk honestly about the parts of our own lives we are usually encouraged to hide.
Building Testie
Testie grew out of everything I had learned from those experiences.
Sexual healthcare should reflect real life. People have new partners. Multiple partners. Casual sex. Long-term relationships. Open relationships. Kink. Dry spells. New chapters. None of that should make routine testing harder to access or more embarrassing to talk about.
I built Testie to make STI testing simpler, more private, and more normal, with ongoing discounted testing for sex workers who often need to test more frequently.
Building the future of sexual health, out loud.
Testie is being built alongside the people it serves. We work with creators, sex workers, educators, partners, and investors who believe sexual healthcare should be easier to access and less stigmatized.
We also offer ongoing discounted testing for sex workers and are always looking for people who want to help bring Testie to their communities.
